Although the State of Michigan no longer requires schools to implement a COVID-19 Continuity of Learning Plan, districts that have accepted ESSER funds are required to maintain a "Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Service Plan." Health and Safety of Students and Staff
The District will communicate and implement the following common sense strategies to prevent the spread of infectious diseases:
- Recommend that students and staff stay up to date on vaccines.
- Recommend that students and staff stay home when they are sick.
- Maintain the proper ventilation and air quality within the District's facilities.
- Recommend that students and staff practice proper hygiene and respiratory etiquette.
- Regularly clean surfaces to reduce spread of germs by touch.

The District has developed the following information and is providing it to parents to provide them with a guide to assist in determining when children are able to return to school after an illness. This guidance should not serve as a replacement for guidance or directives provided by a medical or healthcare professional.

Progress Goal Reporting - Section 98b
Schools that accept federal funds under ESSER are required by law (PA 144, Sec. 98b) to complete the following:
- Present on goal progression by the first Board meeting in February 2023, and again, no later than the last day of school.
- Post the goal presentation to District's website upon completion of the presentation to the local board.
The District's Goal Progress Report can be found at the link below. After the Board meeting in February, and again in June 2023, the Goal Progress Report will be updated with student assessment data results.
