What is Conflict Management? Conflict Management is a way to slove issues between students, by students. In some situations, conflict management is used as an ultimatum, rather then being suspended or something of the like.
How does one become a Conflict Manager? Sometimes in the fall, students will be notifies that you able to fill out an application from you first hour teacher. There will be announcements on Morning Moments to notify students.
Teachers will then get together, and will decide weather or not your right for the job.
If a student is approved, then the student is sent to train for conflict management at Camp Pinewood.
At Camp Pinewood you will learn what to do during one of the conflict management resolution sessions.
You will do some roll playing, and you get some free time to do what you want.
After that, you are offically a conflict manager, and wait to be called to resolve a conflict between students.
Sophomores are preferred, however the selection is not limited to sophomores only.
How does Conflict Managers solve conflicts? When solving a conflict, two of your well trained peeers will help the students involved:

How much confidentiality will I recieve? Your confidentiality is respected, and everything happens during the conflict management sessions stays confidential.
Do students handle all the Conflict Management cases? The more servere cases are handled be the advisors. This is done to protect everyone's rights and well being.
