MICHIGAN SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAMS

Michigan School Readiness is a free preschool program sponsored with funds from the Michigan Department of Education. Children must be age 4 by December 1 of the current school year.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to meet at least two of twenty-four qualifying factors.
• Must reside in Fruitport or Mona Shores School Districts.

CLASSROOM SETTING

• Located in Beach  Elementary School in the Fruitport District and Ross Park Elementary in the Mona Shores District.
• Morning or afternoon classes are in session Monday through Thursday each week.
• There is no cost for this program, and transportation is not provided.

HOME-BASED PROGRAM

• Located in the child's home.
• Teacher works one on one with the child for 1hour per week.
• Children may also be enrolled in a tution preschool program.
