Is Your Child in Need of Health Insurance?

MiChild is a health insurance program for uninsured children of Michigan’s working families. It covers regular checkups, shots, emergency care, dental care, pharmacy, hospital care, prenatal care and delivery, vision and hearing, and mental health and substance abuse services at a low monthly premium of $10. Even if you have more than one child, the cost remains $10 per month with no co-pays and no deductibles.

To qualify, children must:

  • Be citizens of the U.S.
  • Be under 19 years old
  • Have no health insurance
  • Meet the income requirements
  • Your children may also qualify based on other family circumstances.
